This was a great box of nickels. Not only was there a 1911 V nickel ender, I also found 3 War Nickels. 2 1945-P and 1 1942-P. Along with a 1964 Proof.

Now I'm going to finish searching them for errors and fill the holes in my Dansco.

Because of commitments to my job, preparing for entry into graduate school next fall, among other things, I don't search anymore. However, the cashiers at my job keep an eye out and yesterday, a 1916 Buffalo turned up in one of the registers, and I bought it.

Thanks Gothic Florin.

This was the second one I have found. I found the first one before I even found a Buffalo. At first I didn't know what it was. I had to ask my Brother. It's still amazing to me that there are coins over 100 years old in circulation.

On Aug 27 I said:
(Too bad I didn't get a 1945P, or I'd of had a complete 40's decade.)
Got one today in a box I finished over the weekend.

One buffalo. Looked like a very faint 1919. Might be a '29. I'm going to have to invest in some nic-a-date.

Also a UK 20 pence coin. (worth about $0.30)

1940 x 2
1941
1941 D
1945 P (good coin, nothing special except the silver)
1947
1949 x 2
1951
1952
1954
1954 D X2
1954 S X2
1955 D

It is noteworthy that (again!!) there was not a single 2009 in this box. I've probably gone through 200 rolls since my last 2009. I could probably have made up 20 rolls of 1964 and 64D alone.

I'm too excited to finish going through my rolls without posting! I've gone through probably another 20 or so rolls since I last posted. In those rolls two Buffaloes have popped up! I got a 1928 that is very hard to make out the date. The other is a 1919-s in better shape though it is a little dirty.

Now that I look at it again it's possible the 1928 could also be a 1926. It is a bit hard to tell.
