Quote: Is that the same lady on both, I wonder. -Good question. The catalogues just identifies her as "Woman" on left (or right). Could be from same model Both were printed by Bradbury Wilkinson & released together in 1935 as "Silver Certificates." When I bought mine I had no idea but just looked it up again & realized that these 2 were separate issues (from the Bank of Spain, Madrid's regular issue). I suspect that this series was like Canada's shinplasters, an emergency issue intended to compensate (supply) for lack of silver (change) since their normal issue only went as low as 25 Pesetas. I posted the 5 note shortly after posting this 1955 (P-70) 500 Dinara which is also small formatted & features an allegorical peasant woman (Yugoslavia):

Nice one. That Yugoslav 500 is a note I like, from a series I like. They have a rich depth to their colours.

If you like P-70 & notes from Yugoslavia, you may also be interested in another Allegorical Lady later featured on their 1000 Dinara (1978), P-92a which has an error in the spelling of Governor: These notes are fairly large (especially in comparison to the early 500 Dinara) and P-86 (1974) version is even more scarce. They're much more attractive to see in person (held in hand) than seen from a computer scan.

The red 100 is may favourite of this series (mine are all in the album in the bank, so can't post a pic).

Yes, that note posted by @NumisRob is the one. The Cien Pta you post now is also a favourite of mine - I got my example out of circulation on a trip to Spain in 1978.

Here's a 10 Gulden from Holland: According to a collector (who goes by "scottishmoney" on Coin Talk): " This note was issued because of the Nazi invasion and occupation of Netherlands, the previous 10 Florin note with the vignette of Queen Emma, Queen Mother of Queen Wilhelmina, then in exile in London during the war. This note has a vignette from the painting De Schone Herderin by Dutch master Paulus Moreelse(1571-1638), below is the actual painting from the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. This note is P-56b." The paiting is called "A Sheperdess." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paulus_Moreelse
