I have accumulated a couple more items that look kinda like coins, but aren't. Here is one (sorry for the less than optimal cropping and no rev pic). I'll post the answer in a couple days.

Hmm no takers on guessing this time around. For all you lurkers, it is a manhole cover from the streets of Tokyo. As it turns out, there are multiple websites about these things, including this one featuring the same design:
