Metallic objects that are actually are, or used to be legal tender, can also come in many different shapes and sizes. Weather they can be considered as coins, is a different matter.
Exonummia is a very wide field of study, that may lead out of the area of numismatics.

These 26mm store cards aren't actually Lincoln Cents, but kinda look like they could be. One is copper and one is aluminum. Both advertise the Federal Coin Exchange coin store of Cleveland, Ohio.

Cool to see this thread resurrected. How about those U.S. Geological Survey benchmarks scattered on rock outcroppings and other exposed sites across the USA?

Excellent, halfamind! I recall seeing those up in the Appalachians. GPS has probably rendered them obsolete.
