I found this dime in my collection and not sure what to make of the extra digit. Clash? Overdate? I'm sure someone has a simple explanation, and thanks in advance.

I'm sorry but I don't see an extra digit in date ? are you referring to engravers initials upper right of the date ?

Sorry, I should've clarified - partially overlapping and to the right of the zero, there is either an 8 or a 3, I'm inclined to say the latter.

The rim/edge of the coin has been worn down Due to circulation and wear giving the illusion of what your seeing.Not an error

All I see is that piece of protruding metal at 5:00 on the zerro . Coin maybe took a hit during circulation .
I do not think it's extra digit ,clash ,or overdate .

Not seeing a digit ..
There is something to the right of the 0, looks like the
coin took a hit there .. that has since worn down.
