Hello Coin Collectors, New to the forum. Please help me with figuring out whether one of these two pennies is repunched. Thank you for your input! -Jason *** Edited by Staff - Removed ebay Promotion ***

55 views and no opinions? I am fairly new to indians so I don't even know what repunched means or how it looks like but some buyer with an eagle eye asked me if the date is repunched. I did a little google research and could not determine there. Are the pictures not clear enough? Should I upload the entire coin... please let me know.
Thanks!

The top coin was cleaned to death. But under the 3 near the denticals it looks like part of a three there. I don't have any reference material for this one though. But it isn't Snow 1 or 2. A lot of debris in the date devices.

ok great thanks for your comments. So is the top one a repunch or no? Or are you not sure? Anything I need to mention in the listing? Does it raise value if it is a repunch. Thanks.

I looked at your listings and they're way overpriced . Especially the scrubbed 1863. I don't know if you're doing the cleaning or just passing them along but when they're that damaged they've pretty much lost all value. That's probably why you're not getting answers. You do need to post front and back pics.

Richard Snow is the hobby's leading expert on FE and Indian Head cents. His books identify all of the different die varieties he has found for each date, starting each year with "S-1" and going forward (S for "Snow"). Usually, the lower numbers are the most pronounced variations and have varying premiums, sometimes very little but sometimes a great deal. In this case, I believe S-11 is the closest match I can find, but it carries very little premium if any, especially in this damaged state.
