Going through some old coins and noticed this. On the reverse side where the leg meets the breast. Is this a mint error? Thanks for the feedback.

This shows evidence of what looks like deliberate damage along the right rim from 2:30 to 4:30; perhaps this pocked area is related to that.

The damage from 2 to 4 is dirt or dark spots not corosion or pitting. The area I am speaking of looks as if it was done during the mint strike.

Possibly a practice coin or mistake caused by those people who cut coins to make jewelry.

Lamination Peel/Planchet Defect is what it looks like without close ups.. can you still see design elements from the feathers in the void area?
