The location looks close for the 1946-S over d mint mark.

A closer view would be nice to see if it is that variety or not. Then it would be a variety not an error.

With all the weakness I was thinking the coins weight might shed some more light.

Coop has a better eye than mine, but don't see the mint marks lining up at this time. Close up may help. Thanks, Doug.
