I'm not sure if you can even have a Zincoln woody... Crazyb0 Rest in Peace 10197 Posts	Posted 06/19/2017 11:48 pm Yes only COPPER planchets. Woodies seem to be improper mixing of ingredients in the making and extruding of the plate metal. Possibly it is not enough heat in the initial smelting process. Zincolns aren't mixed but wafered. I'm not sure, others here my be, but woodies appear in the teens through early 40's. in 44-46 cents were made out of a different mix using old spent shell cases, don't recall any woodies from those years nor many thereafter.
