Quote: If I had discovered the outcome earlier, I could have already posted a challenge but, as it stands, it will probably be Tuesday afternoon or evening.

The Challenge There will be many ways to get points. Here are for what and how many: Basic Points:3 points - an encased 1963 U.S. or Canadian cent 2 points - any other encased U.S. or Canadian cent 1 point - any other encased denomination/country Additional Points:1 point - a round Encased Coin1 point - any Encased Coin advertising a car dealership 1 point - an encasement featuring a horseshoe A tie will go to the entry posted first! It would completely amaze me if someone has an exact match but, these are common in general so, hopefully, we'll get some participation!

I don't know if this counts or not but it's the closest I've got and it technically is an encased U.S. Cent and it is round. (1861-2) EP-3 1 Cents Blue/1 Cent SEGS XF-40 "TAKE AYER'S PILLS"

Nice challenge! I have a pair of 2000 Encased Cents with the same obverse, but the reverse promoting either the coin show I picked them up at, or the ANA, whose booth was giving them out to the YNs. But, still on the sidelines this week.

If I were better organized, I would have more of these to show.

4 points for mysilveryears! Thanks for posting. By the way, I was unsure whether I should give weight to the encasement rotation or coin rotation. I chose the coin and it appears you did as well.

Hmm I got nothing unless you count a simple graded coin as encased. It is "encased" in plastic.

If I remember correctly, we have a new player! Welcome, fourmack, to the craziness. To answer your questions: Quote: Is this called snap ? It would be if it was a 1963. However, it does move you into the lead with 5 points. Quote: Does this count? Of course. It's a round Encased Coin and counts for 2 points. Quote: Hmm I got nothing unless you count a simple graded coin as encased. It is "encased" in plastic. Sorry, Mont, slabs don't add points here.
