Is This A Brass 1942 Lincoln Wheat Cent / LWC ?

Brass if I recall is adding more zinc less manganese and tin. Technically there was more"brass" in the 44-46's, the shell case cents. sel_69l Bedrock of the Community Australia 21794 Posts	Posted 12/16/2017 4:10 pm I am inclined to agree with the suggestion that it has undergone some sort of chemical cleaning. The thick black spots next to and above Abe's ear also make me rather curious. XRF may be the 'go' for this coin, if you happened to be really motivated to investigate it.
