I noticed that the mint-mark on this particular cent looks kind of odd. I know that it cannot be FS-01-1908S-501 as listed in "The CherryPickers' Guide", as the above mentioned listing is "...the only re-punched mint-mark of the [series]." This cannot be a different variety described because there is not a straight line in the upper loop of the "S". I figured that I would ask here before I write it off as PMD. Thanks for your legitimate and relevant input in advance.

Please everyone have a safe New Years,

Mike H.

While I would like to say it is an RPM, I have to think that it is some corrosion damage due to the rest of the reverse. Also, I don't think the curve is right, but it's not far off. I'd wait for a more experienced expert to respond.

Looks like coin damage to me. The RPM for that year is on the top loop.

Looks genuine with some heavy hits on it.

Thanks you guys. I really appreciate your input and help, all of you. PMD and MD is the story for the most part this year for myself. I hope the new year is full of great findings for all of us.
