yanks21 Valued Member United States 277 Posts	Posted 01/01/2018 8:35 pm I'm still going through my Wheat cents pulling anything out of the ordinary. I am hoping to label anything that turns out to be errors or varieties using your expertise. I noticed the Abe got a crack on his head but what really caught my eye is what is going on with both the wheats on back. Any ideas? Thanks in advance! Report this Post to the Staff

The right wheat stalk may instead be a lamination though--it seems quite wide at the rim to just be a die crack. Spence Moderator United States 34464 Posts	Posted 01/01/2018 8:52 pm Yeah, I dunno on this one. When I think of a Retained Cud, I envision both ends of the crack touching the rim. Both of these seem to only connect at one place on the rim. I agree that whatever it is, the two coins look pretty similar.
