JBuck says: Quote: I have 1988, 1990, and 1991—gifts from my mom the years they were released. I have some coin sets (not Prestige) that my Mother purchased for me thru the years. I'll cherish them always because she recently passed away at 87 years old. She always supported me in my collecting endeavors from buying rolls for me to search thru as a kid to purchasing coins for gifts as an adult. She was never financially well off, so I know now it was a struggle and I'll eternally be grateful for her sacrifices. As for Prestige sets, They are good looking sets but take up room. I usually only purchase if I can get below melt (or near melt for slightly better sets).

This is also why I still have all the old Whitman folders she bought me. They held my coins before the Dansco albums. Quote: As for Prestige sets, They are good looking sets but take up room. One other bidder and myself was going for this lot, pictures wasn't sharp but good enough to say the 31 D cent was in decent shape, the 12 D was probably in Fine, the 09 is a VDB, 29 Philly probably cleaned once before. The 17 S and 20 S cent grades Fine to VF, 41 S Mercury dime would grade AU- low MS, 31 S dime and the 1919 S would be in Fine - maybe VF, 38 D nickel and 1892 barb quarter is what it is. Here's the link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/116358941063If anyone interested in seeing better pictures, I will try to upload it.
