1794, wow. Wonder what that coin has seen. Nice pickup.

Very nice 1794. I need to get a 1700s US coin just to be able to hold such an amazing piece of history! The earliest I have is an 1800 penny.

1965 LMC Major Clip Error.
Got this one at a Coin Show.
I own several clipped coins, but none this severe with a date.

that does not look authentic, usually a clip that large will not hold its perfect shape, but instead close up a bit becoming almost a v shape from the pressure. I also don't see any blaksley effect. At the edge of the 'clip' on the reverse looks to have a raised edge to it. No 'Smith' effect as well.
check out this post: http://goccf.com/t/429513#3691110

Can you post up an edge on image of this 'clip' please?

Do me a favor Believe7: can you post this coin up in the errors area? that way we can get more folks to have a look at it. (A lot of Error folks don't look in here)

The consensus on this page is that, unfortunately, that clip error is just damage, not a true clipped planchet.
