That's fantastic

i agree. it just keeps rolling along, like a 'perpetual' gift it keeps on giving... in the now-distant past I was laughed at for doing this. it didn't faze me then and still doesn't now. quoting professor bartlett,

indeed. do I need to elaborate?

and your tenacity at keeping the streets of Key West clear of so much base metal litter.

sometimes it's still puzzling to me how people can just lose or toss away so much money. even more baffling is how it seems as though no one else here has noticed this. I've had my way with it for 8 years, looks like i'll have my way with it for the foreseeable future. you know, the City hires people to go around the island performing various jobs & chores, but somehow they've completely overlooked the base metal & FRN litter. to be perfectly honest, they really don't do such a good job with the things they're supposed to be doing, so in a way it comes as no surprise that the paper & base metal litter gets overlooked.

I also admire your documentation of your endeavors. Thank you for your 8 year effort and sharing it with us.

my hope is that it is inspiring to others.

that nice gold, Platinum, and silver hoard is incredible

my experiments continue to produce and the timing of it occurring at the beginning of a secular bull market cannot be understated. right now I'm considering some 'profit-taking'. it's almost like Kitty Karma had been front-running me in the years leading up to my nightly endeavor. is that even possible?

Congratulations, MrPink2018! Nice score! Nice silver and gold as well

i love coming home each night with a pocketful of coins that I didn't have when I left.

thanks to all of you who read along & understand the endeavor & motivation behind it.

more quarters tonight.

with just three zincolns in my pocket I rolled through the parking lot of a small plaza that has a laundromat. I roll through just about every night, depending on circumstances. I picked three quarters from the parking area right in front of the laundry:

then, a bit later, as I was nearing my neighborhood, my favorite ice machine's coin return yielded another 8 quarters:

i picked more well-scattered change along the way, ending the night with $3.46, plus a bottle of water, the first non-monetary find of 2026. huh... I just noticed, last night's total was $5.46... exactly $2 difference between tonight & last night. I guess the bottle of water makes up the difference. far out.

...and I've wrapped up 3 rolls of quarters in the past several days. $30 added to the bag in a relatively short amount of time. I love it when people leave quarters behind.

more quarters tonight.

i cleaned up $2.76 in total and my favorite ice machine yielded another four quarters:

i am on a roll. there was only 1 day this past week that I didn't score more than a dollar. I picked just eighty-five cents monday night, but the week's total is $27.13. that's like a month's worth of pickin' jammed into one week. amazing. all coins, too, and lots of quarters. I haven't found an FRN in 3 weeks.

Excellent job clearing the streets of all that BML (base metal litter)!
You really have been on a roll, MrPink! I hope that your luck continues.

i picked a well-scattered $1.51 tonight, all coins... first night this week of $1+. I guess all those quarters I scored over the holidays was my 'bonus'.

i added to cycle 19 what dough was leftover from cycle 18. cycle 19 now sits at $556 and will be ending soon, probably this month. there is more gold & silver in my not-too-distant future... good thing, too, because they're very expensive now.

i'll put in a minimal effort tonight because I scored a big paint job (which I'm three days into already), which means i'll just feed the cats & get home earlier than usual so that I can get to bed sooner, so that I can be up and at the job very early to continue painting... big job for existing customers, gotta keep 'em happy. not sure when I can get back to street pickin', but I will, I just have to get through this job first. they have a lot for me to do. it's work that has been badly needed for a long time, so I'm racking up hours. strike while the iron is hot. make hay while it's sunny. carpe diem. etc etc... not giving up pickin', just putting it on hold while I tend to the jobs. those people love me & I want to ensure they continue to love me. and pay me.

meanwhile, I'm window shopping for cycle 19's eventual conversion.
