Gotta keep your day job, MrPink, until the night job pays - with the proverbial satchel, that is!

oh yeah, when did that happen?

Yesterday. Having a space in your username interferes with the new image optimizer so Bobby changed it for me at my request. I had been considering dropping the "Boguss" for a while - that's a pseudonym that I've been using for 30 years. Back then anonymity was desirable on many sites - remember Usenet?

well, that's interesting. I had been mulling over switching my name from 'MrPink2018' to just 'Mr. Pink', but I think now that i'll just leave it as-is.

i had to google Usenet as I had never heard of it until now. I learn something new here every day.

You may be close to finding the Tooth Fairy's hideout.

that'd be nice, too. tooth fairy must be sitting on a huge sack of quarters, although I wouldn't want to steal it. i'd prefer that entity just leave it somewhere. then I could claim it.

tonight I picked a well-scattered $1.31, all coins.

over 4 days I logged 22 hours painting and was paid for it all yesterday at noon. it was sorely needed work and there's more coming. the owners are doing renovations to the house. the painters that their contractor subbed-out the first round of painting to did not impress the owners, so they approached me for this recent painting and i- of course- jumped on it. another fabulous opportunity for me to strut my stuff. saturday's work finished the current phase, the next bunch of stuff awaiting me will likely be touch-ups, caulking, finish work, etc.- after they've installed the floors, doors, windows, bathroom, etc.

i also have the exterior painting to look forward to when they apply the siding and more landscaping after the renovations are completed. so I have a good deal of work lined up there for a while. I keep the yard, too. I installed a lot of the existing landscaping + installed the brick path around 3/4 of the house, mostly by myself, in previous years-- and those two things helped to sell the house in 2024. I've been working on that residential property in various capacities for 10 years now. if they keep giving me $ i'll keep showing up.

...and of course more earnings makes the alchemy work better. I am stoked for the next conversion, eager to complete cycle 19. it's almost time to lug out & dust off the cauldron again, give it a scrub, get it ready for another run.

Glad you are busy with the painting projects ('I've been painting the interior of my house (and hate every minute of it - cutting in corners sucks) Next I need to get the exterior done - you up for the challenge MrPink? (the job is in Phoenix AZ)

nice job locating all that littered metal rounds!

most people do not enjoy painting. I do excellent detail work, I can paint with one eye tied behind my back.

painting is easy... traveling more than a mile is an issue...

All too well. I was using that before the world wide web was a glimmer in Tim Berners-Lee's eye. Part of my segue from the local BBS scene to "the world."
