All,

Found this 1901 Indian head in a roll of pennies today, since I have never found one before while roll hunting, I was wondering if others have?

Thanks

Depends on how old you are - they were still fairly common when I was a kid!

Anyway, congrats!

That coin has been run through a tumbler, using aquarium gravel as the medium. Was most likely a dirtfishing find. It looks just like one the dozens that I've sent back into circulation over the years. Would be cool if one had traveled that far.

I have a number of ms quality ones, I was not showing for any other reason than I had never seen one in the all the time I have been searching...I recognize the shape it is in. Which is the only reason is was in a roll. This coin would not make anyone collection, merely was a question have others found similar while roll hunting.
