I think you're right on.. St. Thomas & Prince (Sao Tome & Principe), 1977 50 centimos, KM#25. But I'm not allowed to play teacher's assistant .

Technically it is Rhodesia and Nyasaland. Rhodesia eventually became Zimbabwe and I think Nyasaland became Malawi. The coin pictured is indeed a Penny, KM #2.

Here we go - photographed from within a 2 x 2 so not up to me usual standards of photography...can't do the same things with angling the camera due to the way the reflection off the plastic spoils the image.
