To celebrate my 220 posts on this illustrious Forum, I will start a contest. Here is a code I designed (My first attempt at this ... Oh well, you'll figure it out!). All code words listed below in the puzzle are normal english but certainly not in any particular order.

The quote is from an American Politician. It contains 18 words. Punctuation, capitalization and word spacing are ignored in the listing below (for now).

I will give hints periodically.

The first poster of the completed quote and the speaker of said quote will win 3 Morgan silver dollars for my collection (1886 P, 1883 O, and 1896 P (BU or better, well, maybe the 1886 is XF...)).

Rules:

Change #1:
1) One guess per member per day please Multiple guesses per day are now encouraged. (But of course, I would prefer someone break the code...)

2). Goofiness is encouraged but mere cheekiness will not win by itself...).

3). Any member can win provided he/she have 50 posts when his/her guess is posted. (Please don't make me be the referee! I'll do it but you'll ruin the contest for every one else...))

4). I plan to run this until someone guesses correctly.

Good luck, my brothers & sisters!

Let's try some George W Bush to start...."He was a great father before politics, a great father during politics and a great father after politics."

I am afraid that I have to have a beautiful mind to see this and a couple imaginary friends.
I'd love the prize and gave it a try but it is going to be pretty nice out today!
Thanks for the contest though. Good luck!

True! I hope your summer is wonderful and Good Luck on your interview on the 10th!

Now, come on and guess!

There is a method to my madness. (If I can come up with this code, it's got to be pretty simple... )

Could you double check the last line? I think you might have a spelling error. :)

And my guess will be

"Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country, punk."

Har-dee-har-har!!

I have checked this believe me! The last thing I need is the never-ending ridicule of my Forum buddies. (That's not to say there may not be any errors. It took about 4 hours to devise and then translate the quote. Mainly because I took the small bus to school, but that's beside the point...)

It is kind of funny how many political quotes there are that are 18 words long! It must be U.S. politics de rigeur!

Nope. Sorry.

These are all great guesses as we traverse our political past! Thanks for playing!!

The code actually will lead you to the quote, I promise!

(Of course guessing is very authorized!)

So are thoughts, previous code experiences and idea sharing amongst all you all (that's Texas talk!).
