In a precedent post, I mentionned a coin from CGB that looked very much like a fake (and many of you agreed).

See :

I just wanted to keep you updated. I wrote to CGB to express my doubts and they withdrawn the item :

So, this is quite a good sign, isn't'it?

Well done. Responsible dealers/auction houses will typically be responsive.

Just this week I notified a VAuctions dealer about a (kosher) coin he had listed as a very rare, expensive Parthian drachm. He had it listed at $1,100 which, if the attribution had been accurate, would have been reasonable. However, the coin is actually a somewhat similar looking, much more common, drachm - worth a fraction of that amount. Yesterday he changed the listing and price accordingly.

We all need to stay vigilant.

Good to hear they pulled the coin.

You should have just added this to the first thread,
