2021 Peace And Morgan Dollars!

The mint website shows the last 4 dollars earmarked "pre-order" and the cc and o as "limited".
Does anyone know what the difference means?

I hate how the site has worked for these releases, and I don't think it's acceptable as such, but in my heart I think the only actual solution would be for the Mint to sell things at the actual market price. Just imagine how mad we'd all be about that. There's always going to be a de facto lottery with people left out in the cold when you throw open the doors to sell 200,000 widgets to people willing to buy 600,000 of them at your sale price. I'd prefer to base that lottery on something more efficient and transparent than the death throes of a web server, but there are going to be losers here no matter what.

The only thing that would do is make the collectors market decrease as people don't always want to pay secondary market price. The Mint would have an excess of coins as not everyone wants to pay 400 for a CC Morgan or even 180 for a P or Peace. Which could cause 2 things.
1- the Mint sells at a discount to vendors the extra and the mass number of coins brings the market value down. People's response would be wait until this happens, and it's a vicious downhill cycle from there.
Or
2- the Mint destroys the extra making the ones sold it which would decrease total number out there and drive the market price up...

Best way is to fix this is to Mint to demand. But even that causes issues with supply. Where do I cut other products to fulfill demand of this product.

Something has to give.

That's an interesting idea. You may want to consider two things, though:

1. The Morgans are .858 oz. of silver and the ASE's are 1 oz. of silver--despite both having 99.9% silver content. Thus, the Morgans should be smaller than the ASE's and may not fit correctly. (On that note, I'm not sure whether the 2021 Morgan is the same size as the 1921 Morgan, as they have different silver content but also different composition).

2. If you're trying to sell the set, some collectors may actually want the OGP, by virtue of the fact that it is the original packaging, even if it's poorly made. So you might want to include the new boxes anyway even if you make a better one.

Just my Two Cents...

Seems like it would be easier to make a set holder out of plexiglass that holds the Airtites for dollars. The new 2021 Morgan and Peace dollars are 38.1mm diameter, exactly the same as the old ones.

Another thing to consider is to make the felt around the Air Tights smaller to fit the actual Morgan in its original Air Tight so you dont have to transfer the coin into a different container.

I actually found one for $20 and I am going to use that one for the project. But yeah if it goes well there are a few online that want $35. But I really only want one for myself. Hopefully it all turns out well.
