I picked this beautiful error up during a trip to Hawaii for $15. The lady working there had just found it and I said I really love errors. She told me the price and I bought it right away. I brought it back to VA with me and sent it in to NGB about a month ago. I am very surprised about the grade, as I didn't think it would get that high. It sure looks good with my "Michael Phares Collection" pedigree title. :)
I never plan on selling it, but just out of curiosity, how much would a coin like this be worth?

Right? I was quite surprised about how cheap it was in raw form.

As much as a collector is willing to pay.
Right now a 1976 with similar clip in a lower grade is up to $76 on ebay.

That is interesting! I didn't even notice. I was wondering how they planned on keeping it in place.

It's worth $15-to the person who sold it to you.

I guess the more appropriate question is whether or not the grade/holder adds any premium. And if it does carry a premium, how much would this coin in this condition bring? I don't sell coins. Rather, I keep an updated list of my coins and values for my records. This is why I asked. :)
