Released and handled through distributors. Unfortunately this is the last in the Mercury dime series. Shipwreck recovery cobs. 1988 Young Astronaut Silver Metal 1989 Marshall Islands Apollo 11 5$ nickel and others. Mintage figure is for all types. This particular one is overstruck on a 2007 D George Washington Dollar. This one reminded me of the 2001 astronaut concept dollar. Take it easy and enjoy. Report this Post to the Staff

Thanks for continuing to post Carr's issues - they're definitely a cut above most re-strikes / private releases. The Winged Liberty Head over-strikes look very good! I think many space fans were disappointed that his 2001 concept dollar design(s) did not see official production! Collecting history one coin or medal at a time! (c) commems. All rights reserved. But no, I do not have the any Carr Ikes. I do not actively seek them, but if I ever found one at a coin show for the right price it would come home with me.
