Hello There,

Might anyone be able to help me identify what I am seeing in the reverse of this Nickel?

Also, this came straight out of a mint set like this. Is this considered an error?

It is called a Struck Through Grease error. Not a premium for these unless a lot of the design is missing. When they get as much as the coin below, then interest in them increases:

Grease-filled die. It's technically an error, but generally doesn't add a premium.
