Found this weird penny today. It is a 1985 D, non-magnetic, 2.55g cent.
Looks like all of the copper color has been stripped off. What is going on with this one?

Well perhaps someone stripped off the copper plating on this cent. You are seeing the underlying zinc core now.

Am leaning toward a copper deficit (strip-off).
