coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 10/27/2022 7:42 pm The 1979-S also had a Type1 and 2 The 1979-S type 2 S is same as the 1981-D Type 1. As the punch was used the more the punch closed up more on the 1981-S dies. Thus the fresher Type 2 punch on the 1981-S will be the fresher new punch. Aref Valued Member United Arab Emirates 204 Posts	Posted 10/28/2022 12:25 am @coop I looked at the coin again and I think I'm starting to feel the difference between type 1 and 2 of the 1981-S. I have a terrible drawing of both types and that's the indicator I'm looking at to identify right now. Please take a look at the drawing and see if that's a good indicator to identify the types. In conclusion, I agree with you. My coin is a Type 1. Report this Post to the Staff
