Very nice addition Commem - I had started to wonder about that counterstamp of N CAR until I saw your text under it. But do you have an idea about the "237" (or is it 287?) that is also countestamped?

Next up is another US commemorative half dollar from 1925 - the Fort Vancouver Centennial coin.

Mt. Hood is seen in the background on the coin's reverse, behind the fur trapper standing in the foreground and Fort Vancouver in the mid-ground. Mt. Hood is located in Oregon, and is part of the Cascade Mountain Range. It has an elevation of 11,239 feet, and is the highest peak in Oregon.
