Hello. I am wondering if this is PMD? I am guessing it is 1980. I am just wondering because the rim seems to be stuck over the date.

The damage and discoloration make me think that this coin might have been dropped in a park or recreation ground, caught up in the blades of the municipal lawn mower and then spent some time lying around before being found, maybe by a detectorist. I've found several coins on playing fields near my home with similar damage. It's definitely PMD rather than an error.
