It may get a little closer on a Morgan, but you start to max out the focus. Smaller coins come out pretty well. Quote: Can you take pictures straight on? And then crop them? Yes, most of the time you can. It depends on the coin and if it is in a holder or not. You have to keep the reflection of the cam from leaving a shadow on the coin/holder.
