Just needs some opinions on a South African coin that's showing a double die occurred on its reverse side.

Is this a DDR or a Machine deteriorating die?

@dav, that looks like Machine Doubling to me: it is steplike and serves to reduce the width of the numbers. This must have been a common thing though as the numista pic also has md:

It's Machine Doubling, not a DDR.
