1882 California Fractional (?) Gold

adam126402 Pillar of the Community United States 919 Posts	Posted 09/05/2025 8:15 pm Not the expert on this, but my understanding is that all California Fractional gold actually has the denomination stated on the coin. I don't see any lettering on this coin, just the date on the reverse. This might be a token of some sort but damaged and probably only worth its weight assuming it is actually gold. Don't see this worth sending to a grading company. Hopefully someone else might be able to help identify this. What's the weight of this coin? Report this Post to the Staff

That said - if there is eventually any hope this is a genuine California gold token be very careful removing the chain to as cause no additional damage to the token.
