Whitman Album (Not Folder) Coin Slots That Are A Tad Too Big

Prethen Pillar of the Community United States 3234 Posts	Posted 05/14/2026 9:09 pm I have a Whitman album (for British minor type set) with the plastic slides where two of the coin slots are a bit too wide. The coins just kind of float and turn around in their holes. Does anyone know of any trick to adding something that would sort of shrink that hole and keep the coin snug around the rim? Dearborn Moderator United States 95740 Posts	Posted 05/14/2026 10:50 pm I have that issue with my Dansco quarter album (8140) where a few holes are slightly too large - I used white thread to 'wrap' around the quarter in the hole to hold it in position. jbuck Moderator United States 188213 Posts	Posted 05/18/2026 09:41 am Any inert material can be used as a shim. Acid free, archival quality paper stock is probably the easiest to size and handle.
