I have a 2001 Vermont quarter with the D Mint mark rotated about 45 degrees CCW. I've looked for references documenting this error but haven't found any, so I'm not sure what to do next. The rest of the coin looks normal and doesn't have any of the known errors or flaws. Would it be worth sending in for a professional grading?

Thanks

To CCF! It's a damaged Philadelphia mint mark. It was caused by a well placed hit, pushing the metal over and displacing it. Not an error. PMD. Not at all worth grading, as it's only worth 25 cents.

to the CCF

The mintmark is part of the master die and it is impossible for
it to get rotated. It has just been damaged. Worth 25 cents.
