Meow bought some ASE as an investment years ago. Since Meow has started a coin collecting recently so, Meow wanted to look at them again. It did take some time to find them in the Cat hoard. What Meow found was a toned coin, and Meow will share it here.

That ASE was kept in a coin envelope with a rubber band around it. Apparently the rubber band reacted to the silver through the envelope. Meow had not looked at it for over 8 years, and was surprised to find it like that.

That is very interesting. The paper is permeable enough to allow that that happen. A good experiment.

You will notice the toning is striped where the rubber band was. Meow had no idea until yesterday that the coin was like that. Honestly Meow was a bit disappointed that it did that. It means meow did not store it right. Coin envelope with a rubber band, in an airtight container was a fail. Meow will try to keep rubber bands away from now on. Meow like coins to be shiny.
