Hello,

Does anyone know the content of this Korean coin? It isn't magnetic and it rings like silver. Probably something else, but I can't seem to find much info on Korean coinage on the web.

I found it in a roll of Canadian nickels. At any rate, a very pretty coin. Thanks.

This coin is struck in copper-nickel.

The first image is upside down.

Your coin is a South Korean 2004 50 Won coin. It is made of 70% Copper, 18% Zinc, and 12% Nickel. Sorry no silver.
