G'day Aussie72,

The dot marks are known as blobs between the G&S in Shillings. They are described as Very Scarce in Ian McConnellys book "Australian Pre-Decimal Coin Varieties" One of my all time favorite books, I highly recommend it to all =o)
That being said, I have noticed more blobs between the same G and the rim, nothing about that in the book, but that may be incorporated into the initial variety. As I have never seen one of these examples before, I could not say.
Great find, though.

Simon
