The slipcase offers additional (although not total) protection from the environment. If I hadn't started mine when I did I may not even be collecting coins at all because I was really getting burnt out on Morgans at the time and this really started me loving the hobby while working on it. Even though my album isn't completely finished yet I have been thinking about updating my pictures of my 7070 but just haven't gotten around to it as of yet. I changed my Morgan dollar to a 1878 DMPL VAM-70 since I thought it would better represent my collecting interests than the DMPL Obverse common date example I had in there Report this Post to the Staff
