My latest purchase, only about 12 to go. I am very inexperienced at grading, does this look like an F12?

Very nice coin, it would look good in my set. I only need three 1931, 1921 D and 1916 D.
I am sure yours a a lot better grade than mine. All mine were either found metal detecting, or bought out of the bulk silver boxes at the coin shops, all except the 1921 and 26 S which I bought recently because of a good deal.

Now for the grade. In most case I am low on my grading. I do think your obverse is F 12, for me the reverse should show a little more of the bands, but could be they are just not showing good on the pic .. and my eyes are not what they use to be. I would still not have a problem calling this a overall F 12.

i agree the obverse is f-12 but the reverse is not because of the bands so I will go with VG-10

Nice even wear. I collect Mercury and always look out for the keys. I agree that obverse is F12, but reverse would grade VG-8.

Agree, reverse is not strong enough for a F-12, but obverse is a nice solid F-12. VG-10

Nice original problem free coin. I'd say VG-10.
