Jbuck, very nice Ike and DDO! Doubled Dies are very fun to collect. You might want to think about it, since it's cool. I collect errors and varieties. Only thing is I really don't like normal coins as much as messed up ones. I get bored too quickly with normal ones.

Like I said, the long list. But first, I need to fill the six final holes in my various Dansco albums and complete the extended PCGS Ike set (two 1972 varieties, four 1990 and 2013 commemoratives, and four 2015 Presidential dollars).

I recently exchanged my current 1976-S PR69DCAM (silver) with this one. I just liked that little odd splash of color. I would like to replace all my proofs with toners eventually. That will take some time and a lot of patience.

Going through an IKE order this week, this 1976-D stands out, and, need some input.
The "Blob" on his neck is interesting, in that, at first, I surmised like a splatter of soldering metal(it is raised), but, under my loupe, I see the neck wrinkles are present in the metal, thus, it was there when the blank was coined. Would be sweet to find out it is part of another denomination that landed between the dies, but, that is so rare....
Now, trying to figure out if this is 100% correct, and, if the blob is part of a loose coin remnant, or, chunk of debris..or?
Opinions welcomed.

I neglected to mention, the coin went through a coin counter, THAT's the "anomoly"(circular lines, concentric, below ear, behind eye).

Glad to send it out, to see in hand, if you want...it's one of those you have to stare at and let the mind wander..
