I've been taking a break from crh the last week and planned to for a few more weeks since the only coin machine that isn't a 45 minute drive for me is five minutes away from me, but because it is a on campus branch it is VERY small and I finally started feeling bad constantly going in with a grand in dimes at a time and making the tiny female teller change bags constantly. However, I just found out that a class I'm taking in two weeks is 45 minutes away, where there are four more coin counters...

Looks like it's time for me to load up.

I think I am going to re-roll about half of my dimes from now on and trade them
in to my primary bank for quarters and the like. This way, all my dimes do not
get dumped at my secondary bank.

I am new there and to my knowledge they have the only free coin counter in my area.

Spreading them out makes sense any way seeing how I can trade dimes for quarters and then
search the quarters.

Thanks.

I think that my poor lighting might have improved the look of it a little bit for color, but it is the oldest and nicest I've found so far(out of 3).

Today while searching cents I found a nice 1901 Indian Head.

Some of us buy DANSCO or other type books that have holes to put a dime from each year and mintmark. When you find one you need, you put it in the hole. Therefor, "hole filler".
Rest in Peace

A coin that you didn't have before, so it fills the hole in the album or folder.

Duh...I've got Dansco's. I thought it was when you find a coin with a hole drilled in it for a necklace. I've got 2 halves like that. think I'll start a new tradition, see if it catches on.

anyhoo.

Got my FIRST EVER two boxes of dimes today. Purposely got 1 from BOA and 1 from TD banks. Brinks and String & Sons (Loomis?), so I could compare. Will let you guys know what I find. So far, looks like the brinks plastic wrappers show no silver.

Start of another box today, $100 down and 1 silver (1954), and my first ever proof coin from circulation! Can't wait to look through the rest of the box tomorrow...all bank rolled.
