Was only able to pick up $130 in CWR's yesterday, sadly no silver was found. I plan on going by one of my other pick up banks today at lunch which always saves me all their CWR's so I hope tonight's searching yields some hidden gems.

My friend says he has a really big bucket of old US coins (mostly from the 1800s) thats been sitting around in his garage for a couple years that he has no idea what to do with. Its a long story how he got the coins (for free!), but there are a bunch of large cents, some un-opened rolls of coins including half dollars, and some coins that he can't identify. On saturday I'm going over to help him identify the coins (he's not a coin collector and doesn't know what most of the pre-1900ish coins are), and he says we can split the goods 50/50! I'm excited! |

I would estimate that I search 47% brinks, 47% string & sons, and 6% other. I only compile a total average, but everything seems to produce the same. Should I start a brinks/s&s statistical comparison? I could search 40 boxes of each and see if the difference in silver is significant.

Well if you are finding silver in Brinks boxes then I will start searching those as well as CWR's. The banks apparently don't get a whole lot of them and I cleaned them out last week.

I found 3 silver FDR and a silver Canadian (a George - 1943) in my last Brinks box, so there's definitely some in there. I've never found silver in customer-wrapped dimes.

Scored my second 1941 merc in the last week! I don't find many mercs so hopefully I can keep this streak going.

The last box was my all time best scoring 6 silvers total. Two mercs 44 and 45 and 4 rosies 61, 63d, and 2 64 d's!  |

And grrr, just got my second box in a row of 2011 d dimes. It's so annoying to open the whole box and dump it for nothing :/
