Found a 1943 LWC today roll searching. It is HEAVILY corroded, but even so, it does not look like steel (but it has to be). I haven't found a reference on the proper weight for steel cents. This one weighs 2.6g. This is probably not very accurate because of the amount of corrosion and deterioration. Any thoughts.
hmm I found an interesting 43 cent the other day as well I will post a pic of mine I havent checked it with a magnet yet because I lost the one I used when my girlfriend cleaned up for christmas stuff to be put out! Mine is copper looking, but not quite right. it is way way way to brightly colored and not that deep copper color the pennies should be looks like it has been plated or tried to be plated for some reason probably to try to pass it off as a copper 43 I will post a pic when I get home tonight after work anyone know how to get the plating off? the coin is in great shape if not for the plating
