Well I just tried to report the fantastic (in the true sense of the word) "error" coin listing to ebay and, guess what?....none of their categories, sub-categories or classifications for reporting a listing actually seem to cover a completely false and ridiculous description. And, no allowance for a comment.
What a load of sheep!

Wow Jeff thanks for pointing that one out. Only $200 for the extra rare coin! I might have to sneak in and get it before anyone else does

I think I might have nearly started you off.

Better get in quick. I sent a link to Nancy with a friendly reprimand for not having bid yet -we all know how much she likes error coins.

Jeff
PS.
I also sent Nancy a link to a really good error florin; I would say aUNC (seller says UNC), very distinct doubling of date and a lot of die cracks. I would say this die was just on the verge of self destruction when it stamped this coin. And starting price was only about $30. Must have left a zero out!

Here follows my message to MARCHINGSAINT (seller of the rare error 2¢ coin);
My mate can make as many similar coins to this as you want for $5.00 each. I have many old silver coins (mostly florins) similar -some you can still just read the date but that is easily fixed. You can have them for silver value only. Have you no shame?

Probably won't do a scrap of good, but I feel rather righteous now.

Jeff
PS. I am not greedy -I think $20 would be a good starting price for my rare error 20¢. If that doesn't make sense then you need to scroll up and read through this thread.

Car park damage.
Probably dropped in a car park and ran over many times till a kid picked it up to buy lollies with.
I have a 50c with about that much damage too, but I found it in the car park.

Well I have had a reply to my question...
"Dear solution2852,
Hi mate thanks for the shame part just what I did not need from some
cockhead like you , mind your own business buddy & dont make assumptions oo
other people , I dont do forgerys so I have done nothing wrong , get me
message loud and clear dont contact me again and f@@k off.
-marchingsaint".
I had to slightly edit this quote to suit CCF rules.

He is now on my blocked bidders list, just in case he tries to do something smart.

How can you effectively report something like this to ebay?

Jeff

I might put a few kilo's of pennies through the next ball mill I reline and I could make a fortune on ebay IF I had no conscience like the bloke selling the tumbled 2cent for$200

Nice coin. I keep all the really damaged / dirty / suspiciously stained coins that I find. Never seen one that good / bad before though.

Thanks for the links Jeff. I'll give the 2c a miss , but will most likely try for the 2 bob.

I have several 2001 platypus 20c coins that were struck with a die that was about to shatter, so the 2 bob will have some great company, if I win it.

Your 20c from P1 is, as you already know, road kill.

Yesterday I took delivery of 2 x wavys that I bought privately! My newest babies.

Soon to be delivered is a 'set of sextuplets' coinwise.

Here's another found today.

I have converted it to monochrome (grey scale) to keep finer detail intact for your viewing pleasure.
My guess is it has been tumbled.

The posters coin has damage from being on a road (I know because I walk at least 10 hours/week for excercise and I keep an eye out for free money so I pick up at least 10 coins/week with similar damage).
Jeff, the damage on that 50 cents is consistent with some form of tumbling damage but must have been in there for a while to get that battered.
