Zardoc, you need to pick up a Charltons catalogue I think. Also, http://coinsandcanada.com/coins-prices.php
has some price guidlines.

Thanks Ugly, there's just something about they way they feel in your hand. The silver dollar is in a class of it's own where our currency is concerned.

*Edit I like the error coins. Lots out there too.

Is that really what it's called. Sounds to me like the Chasse-Galerie (Google it).

La Chasse-galerie also known as "The Bewitched Canoe" or "The Flying Canoe" is a popular French-Canadian tale of voyageurs who make a deal with the devil, a variant of the Wild Hunt. Its most famous version was written by Honoré Beaugrand (1848--1906). It was published in The Century Magazine in August 1892.

This is also depicted on the label of Maudite beer. Not sure if laymen would understand the reference to Chasse-Galerie, so I'll stick with the "Flying Canoe"

The beer sure is good as well.....:)
