Have to get that special 25th Anv Set Label on them. But to do that you have to submit a sealed box to PCGS or NGC, TPG's to receive that special label. Thats going to bring the most money. When you think about it your really getting the same price for the coin, either way you sell it, Its the label that their going to pay extra for. If any of this doesn't make sense please let me know. PCGS has a monthly membership fee With NGC if your a member of the ANA you can submit coins to NGC without paying a monthly membership fee. ANA members receive an associates membership to NGC. All you have to do is fill out a couple forms, and send them back. Don't take long at all. If your not a ANA member then you would also have to pay for a membership first, before you can submit coins. If your deciding on joining either or, search for specials online first. Sometimes you can find a promotion with free submissions. Good luck. |

eaglefoot if they are not labeled as from the 25th anniversary set I would imagine they would sell individually at the same price as their counterparts, no more or no less. If the mint box is opened those three coins are just like the others they minted and no one will ever be able to tell they actually are the ones that came with the set. So if you do happen to open the mint box and there is something wrong with either of those 3 coins and you have another one in yor collection that looks better you could switch the better one with the one from the set and no one would be the wiser

So, in the future, it's your guys opinion, that people WILL put a NICE premium on these three coins as long as they're slabbed 25th Anniversary Set coins.
So I could sell any ONE of the three coins at any given time for this extra money and there will always be this nice premium for them if they have that label in that slab ?
Even though there is nothing special about these three coins.....other than the Mint sticking them in this Set ?
Being from this "Set" will garner nice prices for them ?
The same coins "without" this slab/label will always be worth MUCH MUCH LESS ?

Since they are the exact same coins.....just "stuck in" the Set by the Mint. Are they going to be all that much more valuable than their counterparts do you think ? Well....that's certainly plain enough ! I guess it is what it is then. If I choose to get mine graded.... I'll never see what the coins look like in the blue box Set from the Mint....other than pictures. And they will only exist in 10 single plastic graded slabs in my collection. But if I need to sell in the future....this is the maximum money route to go. I guess I need to decide what's more important then.....  I wish I had a blue velvet case for the 5 "Slabbed ASE's" .....  Of course, as Morgansdad said.....I havent' actually GOT my two Sets yet......  And I better not "assume" ANYTHING until I'm staring at the shipping box on my kitchen table ! Edited by eaglefoot

Well not velvet but, good news, you have a nice blue polished hardwood case for your 5 slabs...it came with the set AND it fits all 5 slabs perfectly... I saw a pic somewhere with the box and slabs and if I can hijack it I'll post it |

Found it! 5 standard slabs fit...author using Morgans to illustrate but ASE slabs are the same size...  credit to Denver Dave on another forum |

Thanks for the picture, Foxwoods Man. Nice to know the slabs fit so well. If I get a slabbed 5-coin 25th ASE Set, I'd want an extra OGP box just to display them like this. |

Not sure about PCGS - but NGC will send the packaging back for $1 per set.
