Take a good photo of your coin. Open the image in a paint program.
Count the beads, Make a tip mark on every ten.
118 beads is rare. 119 beads is the common one.

Hey wash5, that's a real nice lg bead 65!
---I can appreciate a nice nickel. Wow you should get it certified IMO, it would bring you big bucks if you want to sell it!

Wert! Did you figure out if you have a Lg or not?
---SPP-Ottawa is right cheque the bead between the 11 of Elizabeth 11 for a Large, if your eyes plays tricks on you like mine, the one's also point to the beads directly.
---How can you guy's count beads, it hurts my eyes just thinking about it!
---It's the pennies that use the "A".

Sorry I forgot!
1965LgBead
---To answer your Question.
IMO, I would have to say yes!
---The Cameo would be rarer because that's a special process and is restricted to fewer amounts.
---The cameo is a frosted effect that is given to the coin's subject, in this case the Queens bust and the Beaver on the reverse, with a highly polished field.
---I couldn't know haw many, but surely rarer, I would think.
---It would have been popped out of a set at on time and not meant for circulation.
---Question how did you come across this beauty? Did you pop it?
Nice find.

20 Years ago a friend gave me a 1/2 roll of 1965 cameo looking nickels. Brown wrapper no markings. He died a week later and I have no idea where the other half went.
Bought wife a camera for Xmas and started to Photo coins.
3 coins were large bead out of 15. a ms-60 a ms-63 and a ms-63 cameo.
Some of the small bead where also rated cameo.
I also gave away some coins from roll to Kids who wanted to be coin collectors.

I am not suggesting in any way that your story is not true, but that sounds very odd. The cameos throughout the roll suggest all from a consistent production run but the beads suggest otherwise.

, 1965LgBead!

And it was rated Cameo. Does that make it more rare? Are there many Cameo's ?

Cameo's, the frosted busts and lettering, usually only is present on the early strikes of a die, after which it polishes itself to the mirror surface.

Depends on the country, but earlier cameos tend to be hard to find. Now, they repolish or treat the dies to keep it longer.

That's PMD, caused by a counting machine or a parking meter.

Hello Biggfredd thanks for the replied
"That's PMD, caused by a counting machine or a parking meter."
Im just wondering How come the round circle and its surface is higher
than the rest?. Like a layer the center circle is higher.
if this cause by counting machine or parking meter the circle mark is only deep will not cause the inside of the circle higher.

thanks again for your help!
