Yeah I don't know if its because of some specific issue that only occurs when you do a certain thing....Im guessing its either that or a design flaw. I just felt the need to post about this because I've seen buyers neg sellers for errors in that 'section'...which could easily just be clerical or a bug. It really needs to just be an option thats turned off by default. All this 'product' stuff is unnecessary unless you list retail items. A lot of people do I guess.

Confirmed on the phone with ebay that it is a design flaw and is being looked into by their technical department. Many people have been having the same problem.

I noticed a guy who sells a few coins had hundreds of listings in Canadian coins for iphone cases, basically spammed all the ending auctions, couldn't see a coin without tripping over a page of phone cases. I think it's a turbolister issue.

it is because they have listed an ANACS coin in the past and set up the ebay page as such and now every time they list a coin the ebay page automatically puts that in and if the seller doesn't notice it and change it, it will be there like it is in these auctions listed here. I think ebay was trying to save time for the seller but its really backfiring because just because a seller has one coin for sale that is certified it doesn't mean every coin they have is certified

Just a heads up, when I was posting coins the other night... ebay some how automatically populated the slabbed field with ANACS. Or maybe I made a mistake. So I ended up listing a bunch of auctions with the certified option on ebay choices because I was using the "Sell Similar" link, and didn't notice it.

You guys are out over a simple mistake.

When I list something on ebay, I always check out the listing straight away to check that I haven't made a stuff up.
I always keep the description simple and under grade the coin.
I take the best pic's I can and let the buyer make his/her own assessment.
I don't flash up the listing with a 2 page history or other BS.
I just list it and put it on the table, If the coin is good it will sell itself.
Simple as that.
And If you check the listing you won't get roasted here in CCF

No, even if you change it, it does that. Even if you edit a coin that is TOTALLY UNRELATED, it will automatically put 'ANACS, CC, Certified, Uncirculated, and even 'Acid Dated'. Before you do anything, just by hitting the edit/sell similar button.

Yes, it is a bug/design flaw that is being dealt with by ebay staff. I was told this over the phone. People should try to double check but when something fills in all the information wrong every time you try to list or edit a single thing, its a bit tricky and not the seller's fault. It's a problem on ebay's end and they're fixing it apparently because it's upsetting a lot of people.

I had the same problem that coinguybrian mentioned. I "sell Similar" to my old listings, and ebay decides my stuff is uncirculated ANACS even though I've never sold either of those two descriptions on ebay.

ebay's fault, not the seller's. I almost didn't catch it on my recent listing.
