Also...others on the forum have told me this(BadThad maybe?) that if you reroll your coins and take them back to the bank they can't complain about exchanging them for a new box of pennies. The bank isn't out anything.

There's a Paypal option? Occasionally I use the Amazon option, but it takes me a while to use up $500 in Amazon credit. It should be possible to transfer the Paypal thing back to your bank account, though it would be a pain.

Hmm I will have to see if my coinstar has a paypal option and if it gives me full amount to it, I can always use it for my ebay purchase which I have a few coming up I will need to pay for.

Unless you filled the rolls with worthless foreign coins or pipe.

If you use a PayEnemy debit card, you get 1% back.

That's true biggfredd. But I think most people on here are honest. Although I have thought about making a full roll of canadian pennies and turning them in. But that wouldn't be very nice to the person who ends up with it.

I don't see how it takes "forever" to re-roll coins...I have a tube that has a line that marks where 50 cents stack up to....While I am searching through my coins the ones I don't want I put in the tube. When it hits the line I pour the tube in a empty roll. I then mark the rolls with "x's" so I know I don't get them back at a later date from the bank.

I used to weigh each roll (I keep copper) to make sure there were the correct amount in the roll but I have stopped after my first box when every roll was spot on.

My bank lets me exchange my searched rolls for new ones. I don't order boxes because they normally have more than I can search on hand.

Good Luck

The Coinstar at the Shaw's (large New England supermarket chain) in Salem NH has a store gift card option with no fee.

The fact that you or I are honest doesn't mean anything if the bank has been ripped off before.

By me too B.O.A. and Chase only take loose coinage. And they how have instituted a policy of when you bring in bulk coins, they are placed in a plastic bag and sent somewhere for counting. If you do not have a buisness that deals with coins, there is a charge for that service. If they are in rolls, all rolls must be opened by that place that counts them and again, there is a charge for that service.
All results are placed into your account in that bank. No account, then they send you a check for the amount counted minus the counting fee and also the mailing of the check fee.
They all say that bulk coinage is anything you bring in that would take a teller time to count.
