I found one on the end of a bank roll of pennies....straight from the distributor. Amazing condition, it was a 1900 Penny. Beautiful coin. Was so happy, haha

How has this not been picked in the last 135 years?

It has been. It has spent most of the last 135 years in a hoard or collection somewhere and recently got dumped into a coinstar.

So that is where I lost it. Must have fallen into a pile of coins I was taking to the bank by accident.

Indians are always a great feeling! Just unwrapped my second Indian Head this week, both from Brinks plastic wrapped rolls. Pulled out an 1896 on Super Bowl Sunday and just pulled out an 1885 today. I now have 3 members in my tribe. First one came in change about 4 months ago.

Might be a fun way to burn through some extra cash. Low-grade common dates are available for maybe a buck each or even less if you were to buy a pile of culls. For not very much money you could spread out quite a few coins that might spark some local collector excitement. Every Christmas somebody drops a gold coin into a Salvation Army collection bucket and it makes the nightly news. For a small fraction of the cost of that donation someone could practically saturate their town with Indians!

So that's where the Indian Head cent I bought went. I searched all over the apartment for it! Mind sending it back this way Josh? Thanks.

Great find! They're still out there, I've found several dozen in my days, even found two in one $25 box of cents in January.

I release old Indians every once in a while. Recently on vacation, I realeased 3 Liberty Head nickles in Sedona AZ. Dropped one in spare change bin at Coffee Pot Restaurant, one at a gas station, and left one on counter in convience store.
I like thinking of the suprise when someone finds it! I know, I'm a little nuts.
I do the same thing with old non silver foreign coins dated in 1800's
